Snapshot (& giveaway winner)

The winner of Shelly Roberts’ book 31 Nuggets of Hope is commenter #27 Jen.  Congrats, Jen!  Send me your address and I will get the book headed your way.

Outside my window: sheets whipping in a cold wind on the patio clothesline.

I am thinking:  I need to make lunch soon– probably potato soup.

I am thankful for: a warm fire after a good run this morning.

I am wearing: brown cords, pink t-shirt, will add a pink scarf and jean jacket when we go out later today.

Last 3 purchases: a new coat for myself, and several Christmas gifts that shall remain nameless.
Dinner plans: Haven’t the foggiest idea yet.

Plans I’m looking forward to: taking nine kids to see TobyMac and Sidewalk Prophets!

I am reading:  The Whole-Brain Child: 12 Revolutionary Strategies to Nurture Your Child’s Developing Mind  (EXCELLENT, by the way, esp if you are parenting children with difficult past lives. Or if your past life was not-so-easy.)
In the kitchen: Cranberry Pumpkin Bread
What I’m hearing now:  The wind blowing and my son playing guitar upstairs. Life is good!
How about you?  What’s going on in your life today?

  1. I really enjoy your posts. 🙂

  2. The comments are closed for the cranberry bread, but I have a question. Is there some composition of the canned sauce necessary for this bread, or could I use homemade cranberry sauce? I’m not sure if the gelled part is essential to the chemistry.
