Support AHOPE

You may have heard of AHOPE, a home in Ethiopia for HIV+ orphans, some of whom are now being adopted by American families. With the current huge hikes in food prices in Ethiopia, AHOPE is struggling to provide for the kids. Read this post if you’d like to support the kids by buying a t-shirt or just making a direct donation to AHOPE.

  1. This is really kewl, Mary, and I am so inspired by you and the many other women you met at BlogHer (yes, I’ve been paying attention!). I have visited quite a few of the blogs of those you have mentioned and found them fan-tab-ulous! So much that I have started my own here. I have been blogging for quite some time in LiveJournal and MySpace (I am a musician) but I thought I would give it a try here.

I love these shirts, and definitely love the cause they are going to help. With my next paycheck I intend to buy one for me and one for my daughter.

Blessings to you! You are an inspiration.

I ordered 4 of these shirts, one for each of the kids and one for me a couple of weeks ago. We wore them to an all achool picnic last night. I can’t remember how many people I was approached by ans asked what AHOPE meant. I was able to pass on the little knowledge I posess about AHOPE and teach others in the process. I know that I had at least one family declare they also wanted the t-shirts and help children in Ethiopia. By the way the shirts are comfy, light weight and stretchy but not body hugging. I’d suggest for women to order down one size as a large is a bit too big on me.
