Every year I enjoy submitting a picture or two to the county fair. The very first year, I had wonderful beginners luck and won a blue ribbon. I haven’t been nearly that lucky since then– honorable mention is the best I’ve gotten. But every year it’s fun to submit a few of my best shots and see what happens. I took this year’s picture at church camp of my two year old and her three year old cousin. As I was clicking, the three year old put her arm around my daughter, and I knew I had something special. I don’t know if it’ll do a thing for the judges at the fair. But I love it and it makes me smile.

Beautiful! I love it.
I can’t imagine how it CAN’T touch them …
Now that is a sweet picture! Out of the mouth of babes!
That’s a blue ribbon winner if ever there was one!
That’s a gorgeous picture!
I LOVE it.
That’s so sweet! I love it.
That IS sweet.
It’s such innocent perfection! Belongs on a billboard.
That is so sweet!
I saw an article in the Chicago Tribune today that made me think of the post you wrote a couple days about your girls. It’s an update on adopted girls from Liberia. I realize they came to America under different circumstances than your girls, but thought you might find the story of their adaptation to their new home interesting:

It’s the beautiful contrast that will grab the attention of the judges, I think. Precious. Truly. God’s palette is breathtaking, isn’t it?
Brings tears to my eyes, that photo does. (I say that a lot when I comment here, don’t it? Like you need a constant report of my emotional state.)
In my book, that’s a winner.
I love it!! What a great picture.
