Couldn’t wait…

I had intended to save the debut of my new header until we got the girls home, but Everyday Mommy made it so darned cute I just had to share it! Didn’t she do an awesome job on it? (Unfortunately I do still have to wait a leetle bit longer for the actual kids!) Below is the old header so you can see how she changed it!

  1. Michelle says:

    I love your header!

Maybe this has been answered before, but I thought that you had 10 kids? Or are those just the ones still living at home?

  2. Beautiful! And I love the little Africa shirt on your older daughter! (Even in cartoon form I can’t help scoping out fashion!)

It’s less than a month, right!? yea!!!

  3. Yes, it’s only the kids who are featured on the header– and there are 10, two of whom are not home from Ethiopia yet, but will be, Lord-willing, by the middle of August.

  4. I love it!! It’s just perfect!!

  5. It IS perfect. I’ve been wondering when you would debut this or if you would have a new header all together. I’m so glad you kept this . . . and I’m glad you couldn’t wait!

  6. I LOVE it!!! That’s so cool!

I was wondering earlier this evening if you are going to Blog from Addis…

I am just so excited to hear all about your trip and your girls. I can’t imagine how excited you must be getting.

    Blessings,
    Renee

  7. The two girls fit right in like they belong there – and they do! 🙂

    Love and hugs,

  8. Love it. That gap between the W and the A was just waiting to be filled. 🙂

  9. It’s some bloggy perfection.

    That’s what it is.

  10. i love it that you shared it with us now! ADORABLE!

  11. This is so cool! I’m a fairly new reader, and I’ve only seen the old header a few times. Makes me wish I had it to compare to the snazzy new one.

  14. Perfect, Mary. I agree that that gap was just waiting to be filled! I can’t wait to hear they are home!

  15. Very nice!
You are such an inspiration! I’ve given you an award.

  16. I wondered when they’d be added. They’re so cute… and the family already looks to be having EVEN more fun just with their cyber-arrival! The real things are going to be eleventy times better, too. And imagine how excited they’ll be to see they’ve already been included. I’m kinda giddy myself!

  17. she does great work! Love the addition of your two new girls!

  18. That is so cute.

  19. Very cute!

  20. It’s darling! I don’t know if your kids see your blog, but I think this will help the new ones to feel even more welcome and a part of the family.

  21. Very cute! What a great reminder everytime you go to your blog of your two new girls!

  22. Your header always looked fine to me before, but now that I compare it to the new one, it just looks more complete – like there was something missing before, a gap that’s been filled in.

  23. SOOO CUTE! Just another thing that will communicate to them how much a part of your family they already are. Though explaining the whole internet/blogging thing may have to wait for language to develop… ; )

  24. Awesome!! I love it. So cute.

    Rachel

  25. I’ve been so busy this week that I hadn’t had a chance to see this! What a wonderful way to fill those gaps in your name and in your heart. May God smooth your path as you see your precious daughters soon.

  26. Too cute. It’s amazing how those little characters so closely resemble what your kids look like.

  27. What a treasure!
    You have a lovely family.

  28. I love it!!!!

  29. It is darling. (But I do feel sort of sad that your eldest isn’t there too. I’ve always wondered about that…_ Congratulations on your two newest – will be praying that the transition is as smooth as possible, and joyous. 😀

  30. doodah,

Eldest IS in the picture– she’s holding her arms out to baby sis. It’s John and me who aren’t in the picture…

    Thanks for the prayers!!

    Mary

  31. D’oh! So obvious now that you say that. Sheesh! I feel so lame for not getting it. *blush*

  35. I love it! I’ve asked her to make me a new header too, based on her work for you — can’t wait to see it!

I’m so excited your little girls will be home with you soon!

  36. That is awesome! I think I might need to get in touch with Everyday Mommy.
