2 Corinthians 12:19
weestu

(The song in my head when I woke up this morning.
Read ‘Weak‘ first if you haven’t already…)

I can do all things
Through Christ who gives me strength
But sometime I wonder what He can do through me
No great sucess to show
No glory on my own
Yet in my weakness He is there to let me know

His strength is perfect when our strength is gone
He’ll carry us when we can’t carry on
Raised in His power, the weak become strong
His strength is perfect, His strength is perfect

We can only know
The power that He holds
When we truly see how deep our weakness goes
His strength in us begins
Where ours comes to an end
He hears our humble cry and proves again

His strength is perfect when our strength is gone
He’ll carry us when we can’t carry on
Raised in His power, the weak become strong
His strength is perfect, His strength is perfect

  1. Amen amen amen sister.

  2. “His strength is perfect, His strength is perfect ”

    Amen.

  3. Wow, I’d forgotten all about that song. It was one of my favourites in my college years. THanks for the reminder!

  4. LOVE love love that song 🙂 perfect to remind us that it’s not us…. He’s got it figured out, and He’s equipped to deal with whatever happens. AND He loves your girls more than you do 🙂

  5. “The song in my head when I woke up this morning…” See how good he is?!

I’ll never forget a time last year when this huge, tumultuous upheaval was going on and big lies were swirling about my husband, who was at the center of the action, threatening to take him down. Doubt, fear, dread– even terror– came flooding over me all of a sudden on one pivotal day. I felt like I was going to drown when, just as quickly, the words of a song came bursting into my mind, almost as clearly as if someone was singing to me audibly: “But the voice of truth tells me a different story. And the voice of truth says, ‘Do not be afraid.’ And the voice of truth says, ‘This is for My glory’…” Coincidence? I think not! =)

    Hang onto those words!
