Pretty, Happy, Funny, Real

I’m a day late but I’m playing along with Pretty, Happy Funny, Real on Like Mother, Like Daughter. (I love that blog!)

Pretty for this week has to be sweet baby Wilona.  Isn’t she just precious?

Happy is me watching my little girl play with her nephews. She waited a FOREVER (according to her)  to be older than anybody, and she is loving playing with these little guys.

Funny:  This video made me laugh!

Real: the comments here still aren’t fixed.  One of my bloggy experts is up to his ears in deadlines and the other is in France, of all the lovely places to be.   🙂  None of my feeble poking around seems to be resurrecting the missing ‘comments’ button, so I guess I will just have to wait.  Thanks to those of you who’ve been sending me emails to comment.  I’ve discovered I’m ridiculously addicted to hearing from you all– in fact, if the number of posts this week is any judge, it apparently is most of the reason that I write here.

I do have hopes that the changes here will be great in the long run.  One feature I’m especially excited about is the addition of a ‘print’ button for each of the recipes featured here.   My Hearty Meatloaf recipe has already been converted if you want to see what I’m talking about, and I’m hoping to have all of the recipes converted to the new format by the end of the month.

  1. It’s looking like maybe the comments are fixed… or at least for this post, anyway! I do have to agree that Wilona was an excellent choice for your “pretty” pick. I also looked up the meaning of the name, and thought that was lovely as well.

  2. Ok, slight issue still with the comments. The “post comment” box is visible until you try to click it. Once it is in hover range, it disappears. Perhaps it is set to change color at that point and has an unfortunate white color choice? Clicking in the center of where the box is supposed to be will still post, but it does at first seem like a “gotcha” moment when the box voids out. 🙂

    • Thanks for the feedback Sandi! I really don’t know what might be going on! We’ll work on it. (That is, I’ll bug my smart people again and hope for the best.)

      • That’s another thing, then. Replies to comments used to be emailed as well as showing up on the site. I did not get an email with your reply for either this one or the one about the Sing of My Redeemer song. (I don’t remember if that is the actual title but surely you know what I mean) I really like that feature, so I hope it didn’t go away.

        • I usually reply via email and then paste the same reply into the blog, but I didn’t do that earlier today because your comment wasn’t emailed by the blog to me. I turned that feature back on, and will continue to reply via email and on the blog whenever I have time 🙂

Thanks again for your feedback. I really appreciate it.

  3. Pretty, happy, funny, real- I love that idea! I always find something here that is interesting, inspiring and practical, but I rarely comment. Commenting can be like pulling teeth from the phone (where I read your stuff). I’m gonna play along a my place! Do stop by any time!
