Saturday giveaway: ProBar Fruition

Today I’ve got an energy bar giveaway for you!  Probar Fruition bars are gluten free and come in a variety of flavors including blueberry, cranberry-raspberry, and my personal favorite, chocolate orange.

These bars are chewy and sweet and remind me somewhat of the center of a fig newton.  Two of my pickiest kids were unimpressed– maybe a touch too ‘healthy’ for them?  But the rest of my family enjoyed them.  These bars are a tad pricey, in my opinion, but I guess that’s not unusual in the gluten-free world, and these are a nice filling snack to have handy when you’re out and about and need a quick pick-me-up.

To enter the drawing, go ‘like’ Probar’s Facebook page and come tell me you did so.  I’ll pick a winner on Tuesday.  PROBAR would also like to extend a special one-time discount to ALL my readers.  Just go to choose which flavor of bars you’d like to try, then enter code “BLOGGER” at checkout for 40% off your first order.

  1. Know of any gluten-free product that isn’t going to cost your life savings? Seems as though the products I see in the grocery store that are gluten-free are far and above way too costly for a ‘normal’ family to have to pay.
Luckily, don’t have to worry about that issue in our family.

    • Katie R says:

Less expensive gluten free options can be found by choosing products that are naturally gluten free, like: fruits, veggies, corn tortillas, rice, beans, meats/poultry, eggs, milk, most yogurts, nuts, etc. It’s only when you try to get most carb-y things (breads, cereals, baked goods) that you run into higher costs.

      • Right. My ‘single-ingredient’ grocery shopping guideline helps here too. Basically, the fewer the ingredients in an item, the more affordable it tends to be.

I liked ‘ProBar’ on facebook. I’ve seen these bars in the store, and they look like they’d be tasty and somewhat healthy, but the cost has always deterred me. But 40% off online is a great discount…now I just need to see if shipping is reasonable. Thanks!

  3. I have a little one who is gluten intolerant. These look delicious and I would love to try them. I did check out the facebook page, but I don’t have a facebook account so I couldn’t ‘like’ them. (I know, I live in the dark ages!)

  4. I like Probar on facebook.

And if someone is looking for gluten free recipes, check out the archived recipes for vegetarian times.

Plus in the magazine they are clear if there is an easy way to convert a recipe to gluten free.

I liked them on FB. These would be wonderful for my hubby to try – he is gluten intolerant and there are some days where he really just needs something with more ooompf to grab and go.

  7. Just liked them on facebook!!

  8. Tiffany says:

Just liked them on FB! Was diagnosed with hypothyroid last month and have been trying to “sort out” some issues with gluten. With two little, busy ones it’s always nice to have a healthy, easy snack on hand!

  9. I ‘like’ Probar’s Facebook page, my FB name is Vicki Sh. Love the clean ingredients! Ty for a great giveaway.
