Hooray for spring!

The first no-jacket day of spring can make a girl positively giddy.

  1. Sue from Buffalo says:

We have between 3 and 5 inches of snow today. lol. I guess we can wait for spring here in New York State. It is lent, after all. (smile)

  2. Love this photo!

We had our celebration last Thursday when all four of us walked out of the house in the morning without coats. Woo hoo!

  3. Okay, was this picture taken last year!
We have about 10 inches of snow on the ground since 9 p.m. last evening and still coming (blizzard conditions)–no school and looks like no school tomorrow because going to take plows, shovels and whatever other means people use to get out that long to do so.
For a person who LOVES winter, this is great. And before you ask I love the beauty; quiet; activities such as reading, quilting, writing letters, baking take center stage; and we tend to be more reflective and spend time with family.

    • nope, took it yesterday! 🙂 It is colder here today — I wore gloves, jacket and hat to go running– but thankfully no snow here.

  4. I love the colors of her dress and pom-poms. It makes such a beautiful picture! We’ve had several nice days here all ready, but we are definitely south of you. I used to live in Maine, where they still have yet to see a jacket-free day. Don’t miss it at all!

  5. What joy – I agree!

  6. What a great shot! Thanks so much for sharing. We had one “spring” day, but are back in the throes of winter with snow on our crocus and daffodil flowers

  7. Absolutely!!!

I grew up in the North.
I remember going barefoot when it was just 45 degrees or so outside, when spring was just beginning and the sun was shining. Of course it was cold, and my mom would tell me come inside and put socks and shoes on, but SPRING just makes you want to do strange things sometimes.
