  1. What a great idea! Makes so much sense! I’m going to try your recipe soon! ~~Pam

  2. Why didn’t I think of that? I usually make mine triangular scone-style.

  3. I heartily agree! I’ve been making square biscuits for years. So much more efficient. My kids think there’s a special occasion if they get round biscuits. 🙂

  4. You. are. brilliant. =)

Fixing home cookin’ for Father’s Day in my house — fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, veggie, and buttermilk biscuits—and they will be square this year!!! Love the time-savingness of trying this as well as using the shredder to do the butter (which I learned some time back from you, Mary, and am amazed by how much easier it is to do both in biscuits and pie crusts).

  7. if you make these to freeze, do you just put them in the freezer before baking? Can you then just put them in the oven frozen or do they need to defrost first?

  8. Mary – thanks for the great idea. I usually make drop biscuits for the family since they are quicker. This morning I made them square and the kids loved them!

  9. You are so smart! I’m glad you’re my sister. 😀

  10. Brilliant.
