This week

I promise I will write something interesting someday. Here are some of my excuses for a bullet list today.

–am finishing last few book edits, some of which were lost due to confusion over how to save edited files. (grr)
–am writing a post about some of the best frugal wedding decor
–am working on a lighthouse unit study for homeschool since we are going to visit the Oregon coast in a few weeks and dad is certain to take us lighthouse-tripping.
–am doing swimming lessons on Tuesday and Thursday for 3 kids
–am expecting disaster cleanup people who are coming to get water out of duct work
–am expecting furnace repairman to see how badly the tub flood damaged our now-nonworking furnace
–am awaiting actual REAL copies of my book, some of which will be giveaways! ( peek inside the book here)
— am planning three other book giveaways in the next two weeks as well.

So stay tuned!

  1. I’m jealous…even your bullet lists are interesting. don’t discount them… = )

  2. Ooo – pick me, pick me! Oh… the giveaway hasn’t started yet – sorry! Just read the sneak peek of your book and can’t wait to read the whole thing! 🙂

  3. I just went and read the sneak peek – awesome work, Mary! I can’t wait till I can get my very own copy…

  4. I am looking forward to your book debut!

And, even though I am sure you are still groaning inwardly, (and maybe outwardly) about the tub incident, I just want you to know that I completely sympathize! There is just so much to do!! I am constantly trying to think of ways to remind myself to finish what I start when, in the middle of the project, is a waiting period. It’s just so easy to walk away and forget to walk back, isn’t it!!??

So, anyway, I feel for you! And, I guess since it was bleach water, mildew won’t be an issue…? Wishful thinking.

  5. Ahhh, to chew up time waiting on Your Book. That must be an awesome feeling!

    I can’t wait to win one! : )

  6. Daylily Girl says:

Wow….the things that go on when I’m not there. 🙂 Keep us posted

  7. I just clicked over and read some excerpts from your book! I’m looking forward to it! I “only” have 5 but need all the ideas and support I can get! Good Luck with the release!

  8. I just bought the book because I can’t wait for the giveaway. I read every page the “preview” would allow me to read and it is like the Lord had you writing just to me. We are really struggling with this decision right now and it drives me to tears many times. We are reaching the upper end of baby-making years and we have four awesome children, but I feel like somebody is missing and my wonderful hubby is struggling with the logical side (which I’m thankful for, I really am) and he feels overall satisfied with our family.

I’m praying like crazy that the Lord will answer us clearly. The hard part is that he wants to give me what I want and I want to give him what he wants. We both want an answer from God.

Thanks in advance for your insights and your honesty.

  9. I simply cannot wait until your book comes out! It looks wonderful!!!!!!!!

  10. Mary,

I’m excited about your book. We’re currently waiting for #4 to get here…any day now and wondering if there will be more in our future. Loved the excerpt!

  11. can’t wait for the book! just curious, will you be doing any promotions for the book, like a book tour??

  12. Mary~

I love what I read of your book at Amazon. So, so exciting! I’ll be back for a chance to win a copy, but I am planning to get one regardless. You’ve done a great job, and that’s just after reading the excerpt!

  13. Wow, I don’t have many kids, but I hope your book makes it to New Zealand or if not here I come!

  14. Mary, I just want to let you know that I read the Amazon preview, and just love what I read. Even though my life is so different than yours, (I’m an agnostic 40 year old married woman with no children living in Washington DC and working for the federal gov’t) I feel so inspired by your story and love reading your blog. I wanted to say thanks for sharing your life with us!
