Six daughters

Each year for the past few years on Mother’s Day, my five sisters and I have snugged together to get a picture of all 6 of us with our mom. Above is the picture we got this year, under a beautiful lilac at my sister’s house. I’m at the bottom left. After we got that picture I realized I really wanted a picture of myself with my own daughters. And so we gathered and smiled some more for this precious picture.

  1. BEAUTIFUL!!!! You are very BLESSED!

  2. What a beautiful family.

  3. Beautiful ladies, all.
    Happy Mother’s Day!

  4. Your new girls look so settled – that’s so lovely. And your littlest is just so precious. All so pretty – you must be so proud 🙂

  8. Oh, I meant to add…even though I’ve been reading your blog for quite a while, I didn’t realize that you are from a large family yourself! Do you have brothers as well as your five sisters? Growing up, did you always hope to have a large family of your own?

  9. Lovely, Mary! What a nice idea for Mother’s Day.

  10. What a wonderful couple of pictures!

  11. mary – i love both pictures and remember one of you with your sisters from a very early post of yours. what a great tradition. xoxox

Lovelly! It’s so great to do that. One of my uncles insists in doing one of those once in a while, and whole family shoots as well. It’s good we have those pictures of all of us together, specially one some are not among us anymore, it always helps to reminds us of the good times we had.

  17. This is stunningly gorgeous, Mary. How God must have smiled . . . from six daughters to having six daughters. What a precious gift.

  18. Beautiful photos!

  19. I love the pictures.

One of my favorite pics is 4 generations of women in my family. MY great grandmother, my grandmother, my mother and me as a newborn. IT’s even more special now that the two oldest women in that picture are gone. I’ve taken the same kind for my kids too with their grandparents and great grand parents.

  20. Wow! You truly are blessed. What absolutely beautiful girls! I can’t imagine 10 children. I am so exhausted just keeping up with my 6 month old. 🙂 Your blog has really been an encouragement. I’ll keep you and your family in my prayers.

    God bless!
