If only 7% of the world’s Christians adopted 1 orphaned child,
the world’s orphan population would disappear.

On this Mother’s Day,
may your heart be moved to meet the needs of a child.

  1. Happy Mother’s Day!

  2. Just stopping by to say have a blessed Mother’s Day.

Happy Mother’s Day. You need to keep praying for the possibility for us to adopt. We have had INternational adoption on our minds (and hearts) for a while but just have not felt like the ti me has come to act upon it. When we do feel the nudge, I WILL be screaming to you for help! 🙂 It also helps that my husband is in the ministry to serve orphans worldwide (esp. overseas).

  5. staggering!

Happy Mother’s Day to you, momtomany!

  6. so true…happy mother’s day mary!

  7. And if the other 93% who didn’t gave just a little to help the 7% pay for the adoption costs, no one would have trouble paying for an adoption either.

And if all Christians in the US tithed 10% there would be enough money to pay off the national debt.

It always makes me wonder what we are doing with our resources. And also encourages me that we can make a difference if we are just faithful to play our small part in God’s story.

  8. This was beautiful, thanks so much for the link.

I once read that if every Christian church in America sponsored a family to adopt a child there would be no orphans in our country. I couldn’t help imaging what would happen world wide if every church helped 2, 3 or 5 families with adoption expenses. The world could become a completely different place for these children.

    Have a Blessed day,

I have always thought (whether I am able to have bio kids or not) that I might like to adopt. Hubby is not so sure.

We are not there yet but I hope to someday…

  10. This may be the most convicting post I have ever read.
    Father, forgive us.
    And change us.

Thank you, Mary, Mother of many…
