At least she has her priorities straight.

This evening my 5 year old stacked her stuffed animals up in the corner of her bed by her pillow. She surveyed the veritable totem pole of plushy goodness, then sighed and said, “I wish I had a ‘God’ stuffed animal.”

“Why?” I asked.

“Because then I could put him on top.”

  5. that is too adorable, that is one smart kid.

  6. Okay, I rarely laugh out loud FOR REAL, but at this, YES, YES I DID.

At least she didn’t, as happened to a friend of mine when her young son’s birthday fell upon a certain Easter, decide that she wanted to have a Jesus-themed birthday party…

    complete with pinata…

  7. Oh, no! beautifulheritage, that’s horrible!

Love the quote…adorable. I love reading about you and your family…makes me want to have/adopt a big family of my own one day :).

  8. At least no one has decided to try to market THAT… yet… ! You daughter would apparently treat such a toy right, though. =)

  9. Great insight!

  10. Oops! I meant her young son decided that HE wanted a Jesus themed birthday complete with Jesus pinata.

SHE (his mother…the friend o’ mine) went ahead and made the Jesus cake, but drew the line at the pinata.

Sorry about the confusion; it wasn’t quite as bad as it sounded!!

  11. I think I could appreciate a Jesus in plush goodness. There are definitely days when I want a hug from Him here on earth.
