Talk about a packed day. or two.

Tomorrow after church our family is invited to another family’s for an Ethiopian dinner to celebrate their two sons’ dedication day. Then in the evening we are hosting a few dozen people to celebrate my sweet baby’s third birthday. All the fun we’re anticipating tomorrow made for one crazy day today. Today we:

–cleaned the whole house
–washed 4 Ethiopian dresses
— braided 4 heads of hair
–made a huge batch of dinich wat
–made two cakes
–rearranged the living room
— rearranged the dining room
–wrapped two presents

Thankfully I had a boatload of help with all that. Pictures coming of tomorrow’s fun….

  1. I’m so glad you put in a link to the dinich wat, because it’s not what I was thinging it was…..(someting like bat poop came to mind first, lol)

Isn’t that funny how different words can trigger funny impressions!

Can’t wait to see the pics of it all!

    In Christ,

    Valerie

  2. Honestly Mary, I don’t know how you do all that you do. You exhaust me just reading about your schedule! 🙂

    Good work!

  3. Sounds like you’ll have a busy but delightful Sunday! And I think a lot of folks think of big families and imagine all the work involved, but your post reminded me of the saying, “Many hands make light work!” Well, OK, maybe not “lignt”, but at least a bit less overwhelming…
