A scary thing indeed.

This evening at dinner I had a sharp little knife next to my place at the table, which I was using to cut pizza.

My two year old sits next to me at the table, and when I wasn’t looking, she grabbed the knife. I looked over just in time to see her waving it in front of her.

“Uh-oh mommy!” she said, wide-eyed. “I have a knife!”

Like it just LEAPED into her hand.

  1. Those two year olds can be quick can’t they? We had a church potluck meal recently and my husband happened upon an unattended two year old with a large bread knife. He was wielding it like a sword. That one panicked even my very laid back husband!

    Blessings~

  2. Oops! I should mention it wasn’t our two year old =)

  9. Here’s what my three-year-old did with a pair of scissors when I wasn’t looking.

  12. We use scissors to cut our pizza, just a snip, snip, snip and it’s done.

  13. If you’re anything like me you would have already pictured her running at break neck speed down the stairs with it.
